Manila – A Destination for International Artists

Words by: Ana Camille M. Suico

This 2013, we’ve seen big international stars come one after another, having made Manila one of their key destinations for their concert tours around the globe. Famous artists such as Fall Out Boy, Rihanna, Tiesto, and The Killers were recently here to excite the Filipino fans and get them jumping and singing along to their signature tracks.

With such a good crowd providing overflowing energy, many of these global music celebrities love coming back for the overwhelming love and support the Filipino crowd has to offer. And the local audience, on the other hand, just can’t get enough of the top-notch production, amazing repertoire, and jaw-dropping performances of these worldwide musical sensations.

The Filipino people have always been very welcoming and heart-warming, which is probably one of the main things that has made many of our famous international artists coming back tour after tour. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 mentioned in his twitter account last September 2012 that his Filipino fans would be described as the “most energetic and enthusiastic” he’s ever encountered, which is just probably one of the many positive feedback artists have made about us. Any performer would love to have a crowd that’s got crazy energy from the start ‘til the end, making their art all the more appreciated and loved and performing all the more worthwhile. In addition, such openness to international talent has made the Philippines even more a target destination for many renowned artists worldwide, not only because of the guaranteed fun they’ll have in the country, but also because of the opportunities the artist can come across in such a beautiful land.

Despite all the astounding concerts we’ve had for 2013, the international superstar wave doesn’t end here. There is so much more to look forward to for the months of November and December. A wide variety of artists catering to several musical preferences will be gracing the Philippine community with their classic hits and their rising new releases making sure to give the fans their money’s worth and an experience they’ll never forget.
